I was using a carter kit. flooding on an edelbrock carburetor is a situation where the float bowl is getting too much fuel and it is pouring. Had to clean the needle and seats twice before problem. I took the top back off of the carb and adjusted the floats to 5/16. It runs great, despite being rather over. It still does the same thing.
